Keeper Security is excited to announce that our government solution, Keeper Security Government Cloud has been honored with three ASTORS Homeland Security Awards. The FedRAMP Authorized password and privileged access management platform was recognized for Best Cyber Security Solution, Best Privileged Access Security Solution and Best Cyber Encryption Solution at the annual ASTORS awards ceremony held in New York City.
The ASTORS Homeland Security Awards, hosted by American Security Today, is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program. Now in its eighth year, the program recognizes industry leaders of physical and border security, cybersecurity, emergency preparedness – management and response, law enforcement, first responders, as well as federal, state and municipal government agencies, for their outstanding efforts to keep our nation secure.
Zero-Trust and Zero-Knowledge Security Leader
The ASTORS award for Best Cyber Security Solution recognizes Keeper Security Government Cloud (KSGC) as the leading cybersecurity solution for the U.S. Federal Government. KSGC was designed specifically to meet the needs of public sector organizations. The solution equips organizational IT administrators with visibility and control over password security practices across the entire organization on all devices, enabling them to enforce the use of strong, unique passwords, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), event logging, reporting and other security policies. KSGC provisions with and integrates into any IT environment and identity stack.
KSGC is backed by the longest standing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications in the industry, as well as FedRAMP and StateRAMP Authorization. FedRAMP promotes cloud solutions for all federal agencies by providing a secure method for cloud adoption to government organizations.
Multi-Layered Encryption for Unparalleled Protection
The ASTORS also recognized Keeper as the Best Cyber Encryption Solution to keep our nation secure. Keeper’s multi-layered encryption system is based on client-generated encryption keys. 256-bit AES record-level keys and folder-level keys are generated on the client device, which encrypt each individual vault record. All contents of the vault are encrypted, including logins, file attachments, TOTP codes, payment information, URLs and custom fields. Encryption keys are generated locally to preserve zero knowledge and support advanced features such as record and folder sharing.
Users have complete control over encryption and decryption of their Keeper vault, and none of their stored information is accessible by anyone else, not even Keeper employees. For business and enterprise users who log in with SSO, Keeper utilizes elliptic curve encryption for a secure and passwordless experience. Keeper Connection Manager (KCM) also allows authentication with DoD Common Access Cards (CAC), as well as with any smart card supported by the browser for SSL client authentication, such as Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards.
Simplified Privilege Management for Homeland Security
According to the 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report, 74% of breaches involve the human element – with the majority due to stolen or weak passwords, credentials and secrets. That’s why every homeland security organization needs to secure its passwords, credentials, secrets and connections to reduce the risk of cyber attacks and defend against internal and external threat vectors. Keeper’s next-gen solution delivers enterprise-grade password, secrets and privileged connection management in one unified platform called KeeperPAM™, recognized by the ASTORS as the Best Privileged Access Security Solution to defend against the cyber attacks that threaten our nation.
PAM solutions establish a zero-trust framework and enforce least privileged access, limiting the likelihood of a data breach and minimizing impact if one were to occur. Keeper® provides key PAM components without the complexity of traditional solutions to quickly integrate with any existing tech stack, and achieve enterprise-wide coverage and visibility, enabling zero-trust and zero-knowledge security and compliance.
