Employee Appreciation Day, observed on the first Friday in March, is a day for companies to thank their employees for their hard work and effort throughout the year.
In light of Employee Appreciation Day, and with all of us spending more time online than ever before, we at Keeper would like to remind our business customers that they can offer all employees who have been provisioned a Keeper Business or Enterprise account a totally free Keeper Personal Unlimited account– at no extra cost to your organization!
Thousands of companies have already taken advantage of this value-add since it was made available in June 2020. How does it work?
Setup is simple and takes only a few minutes:
1) The employee logs in to their Keeper Web Vault.
2) The employee clicks their email address, which is located in the top right corner, then selects Account from the dropdown menu.
3) The employee enters their personal email in the “Keeper Unlimited License for Personal Use” section, then clicks “Send Email.”
4) This will create a separate, non-enterprise-managed Keeper Vault that will be associated with the employee’s personal email address.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are my employees getting?
Your linked personal account is licensed as a Keeper Unlimited account, which includes 10GB of secure file storage and BreachWatch dark web monitoring.
What if an employee already has a Keeper Personal account?
Their Keeper Personal account will be upgraded to a Keeper Personal Unlimited account, with 5 digital vaults, 10GB of secure file storage, and BreachWatch dark web monitoring. They will enjoy all of the same features they’re using at work, including auto-fill of website and app credentials; easy, secure access to their personal passwords on all of their devices; the ability to store Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes; access to Secure File Storage for sensitive documents, videos, and photos; and the ability to securely share credentials and files with other Keeper users.
Does this mean my organization will be able to see our employees’ personal accounts and passwords?
Absolutely not. Your organization will not have any access rights or any ability to decrypt the information stored in personal vaults belonging to employees.
What happens if an employee leaves the company, or if the company cancels their Keeper subscription?
Their linked Personal Unlimited account will remain free on unlimited devices for as long as the business account is active. If an employee leaves the company, or if the company does not renew their Keeper subscription, their Keeper Personal Unlimited license will remain free on unlimited devices for one year from the last time it was renewed — even if the company cancels or reallocates their original business license. After that, their account will convert to a Keeper Free subscription. At that time, the employee may continue to use their free personal license on one device, or they can purchase their own Keeper Personal Unlimited subscription to keep enjoying all of Keeper’s premium features.
Can employees store their work passwords in their personal vaults?
No, their complementary Keeper Personal Unlimited is for personal use only! They must continue to store all business-related credentials within their company-issued vault. In fact, your company may remove employees’ ability to share records from their business vault to their linked Personal Unlimited vault.
