We’ve got a number of new features and product updates to share with you this month. Learn more about the highly anticipated UI refresh for Android, KeeperPAM’s password rotation solution, how you can sign Git Commits with Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) and more!
Keeper Releases Major UI Update for Android
Keeper is excited to announce a significant update to our Android app. This update is heavily focused on bringing the same fresh, modern look to our Android user interface that our Web and Desktop received earlier this year, and our iOS just last month. This release incorporates improved usability and a distinctly light and modern theme. If you prefer “dark mode,” a new and improved version will be included in an upcoming release. We’ve also streamlined the autofill process by removing the in-app browser to instead utilize Keeper’s native autofill feature, KeeperFill, which is integrated into your device’s keyboard.
Rotate Privileged Credentials With Password Rotation for KeeperPAM
Expanding on our next-gen, zero-trust and zero-knowledge privileged access management platform, Keeper’s password rotation feature uses a lightweight and secure on-premise gateway service which can be installed with a single command. Keeper can rotate a range of credentials in the cloud and on-premises, including Active Directory user accounts, Azure AD accounts, local admin accounts, SSH keys, database passwords and more.
Securely Sign Git Commits With Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM)
Signing Git commits verifies authorship and ensures the integrity of committed content. Using a cryptographic signature with your private key demonstrates a commitment to the authenticity and security of your contributions. Keeper’s latest integration will allow you to sign Git commits with an SSH key in your Keeper Vault via Keeper Secrets Manager, rather than using a key stored on disk.
Various New Features and Updates for Keeper’s Admin Console
The latest version of Keeper’s Admin Console covers a range of new features. Most notable may be support for Cloud SSO SAML Parameter ForceAuthn which can be found in the SSO cloud configuration screen. To round out this feature-filled update, we’ve also added a role enforcement policy that allows or restricts users from creating a free Keeper Family license.
Keeper Credential Storage Integration With ServiceNow
The Management, Instrumentation and Discovery (MID) Server integration with the Keeper Vault enables ServiceNow Orchestration, ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Service Mapping to dynamically retrieve credentials from the Keeper Vault without storing any credentials on the instance. This innovative integration supports a variety of use cases such as on-demand discovery, incident response and custom credential provider.
Automatically Migrate Your Proton Pass Vault to Keeper With Keeper Commander
Keeper Commander now supports importing data from Proton Pass into your Keeper Vault. Begin by exporting your data as a JSON file from the Proton Pass Browser Extension, then simply perform the designated command to complete a seamless, secure import.
Leading IT Analyst Research Firm Names Keeper a Value Leader for Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Enterprise Management Associates’ (EMA) evaluation of the PAM market space has recognized KeeperPAM for its ease of deployment, wide range of integrations, security certifications and low cost, as well as secrets and password management. Their report, EMA Radar for Privileged Access Management, highlights Keeper as an agentless and clientless cloud-hosted SaaS solution, requiring no on-premises infrastructure deployments or additional software to run. EMA’s findings affirm Keeper’s ability to provide organizations with the easy-to-deploy and user-friendly PAM solution they have been waiting for.
Storing Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) Gateway Configuration in AWS KMS
An IAM Role Policy can now be created and assigned to an EC2 Instance in order to provide the Keeper Gateway service with the required permissions to retrieve the necessary configuration from the AWS Key Management Service (KMS). This method further secures your deployment by eliminating the need for storing a configuration file on the disk, and instead stores the file in your AWS KMS.
PowerShell Gallery Now Featuring Keeper Commander
Keeper Commander is now available on the PowerShell Gallery as the PowerCommander module. Keeper’s PowerShell command-line tool (PowerCommander) provides basic vault access and administrative functions.
Keeper Now Available on Atera’s RMM Platform
Keeper’s integration with Atera allows MSPs to obtain billing and usage information through rich technical APIs, making billing and reconciliation simpler for MSPs that deliver multiple products and services. Customers can manage Keeper installations and software updates directly through Atera, so an MSP can create and install accounts, track current and monthly usage and keep Keeper updated on all of their clients’ computers and devices.
Various Improvements to the Commander CLI
Keeper Commander is constantly evolving. With the latest set of improvements, you can:
- Modify an existing managed company license with the msp-update
- Clear all previously-cached compliance data with compliance – switch -rebuild or -r
