On January 16, 2025, an Executive Order 14144 was issued, aimed at strengthening the nation's cybersecurity defenses. This order comes at a crucial time – during
Last year, Keeper Security unveiled One-Time Share, a secure and convenient way for Keeper users to share credentials with anyone, including those that are not Keeper users. Since its launch, many of our customers have grown to rely on One-Time Share, including in cases where they need the ability to set time duration. As a result, we’ve made expanding the options for setting and modifying time-limited access a top priority.
Keeper and Indent: Partnering for Better Time-Limited Sharing
Indent is an elegant solution that enables enterprise users to easily request time-limited or permanent access to cloud applications and infrastructure. Access is granted through users requesting membership to Azure or Okta groups that correspond to a cloud resource or vault.
This functionality is now available in Keeper!
Here’s how it works. When someone needs access to a record, that request is automatically routed to a designated approver, based on your organization’s security and compliance policies. Once they’ve received a request, the approver sets the access duration. Or, if preferred, users can instantly receive time-bound access based on attributes such as on-call status.
If the user is part of a team, admins can use our team provisioning feature, Keeper SSO Connect™. Once a user is added to a Keeper team, that user can access the team’s credentials for an approved duration.
Indent simplifies your approval process and enables users to get access in seconds, not days.
- Enable end-user self-service: Users can create access requests in Slack using `/access` or from Indent, with the access automatically provisioning upon approval. No more back and forth between users, managers, and IT admins.
- Stay in the loop: Indent keeps users up-to-date about the status of their request or access, eliminating the need for follow-ups.
With the Keeper + Indent Integration, Organizations Can:
- Give users time-bound, auto-expiring access to specific apps and environments
- Grant automatic access to users based on attributes like on-call status in PagerDuty, Incident.io, and Opsgenie
- Allow temporary access to SSH, RDP, databases, and Kubernetes resources, as authorized by your access controls and connected identity provider
- Auto-revoke access after a duration of your choosing
- Record comprehensive access logs for compliance audits
