Keeper continues to release new features for consumers, businesses, enterprises and managed service providers. Our latest release includes significant enhancements such as a Business Support Portal for our business customers, multiple vault integration capabilities for Keeper Connection Manager (KCM), a Google Cloud integration with Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM), CAC/PIV integration for agencies and more.
Business Support Portal
Keeper now offers our business customers a complimentary, dedicated support portal – powered by ServiceNow – which will handle all customer service-related needs. The portal enables registered users to submit tickets and chat with a Keeper Support Specialist.
Create Custom Email Invite for Better Time-Limited Sharing
The invite-email switch enables users to set a custom email template per node using Keeper Commander. For example, admins managing organizational branches in more than one country can now send custom email invites in the native language for that branch or node.
Latest Commands from Keeper Commander
We’re continuously adding new functionality to Keeper Commander. See below for the latest commands available.
Multiple Vault Integration for Keeper Connection Manager
Keeper Connection Manager (KCM) can now access secrets from multiple vaults. First, administrators create connection groups and assign a Secrets Manager configuration for each. Then, each group pulls secrets from the corresponding vault or shared folder. Additionally, users can be granted access to a common connection group using secrets from their vault. This allows multiple users to use the same connections with records in their vault.
Enterprise administrators in the Keeper Security Government Cloud (FedRAMP Authorized) use a dedicated API for organizations such as universities. The Keeper Unlimited plans for students can be provisioned through a dedicated API. Contact your support representative to request an API key at no cost to you.
Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) now integrates with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Secrets Manager. Your Keeper Vault becomes the source of truth and syncs its records to your GCP. This makes the records available to GCP services or scripts that utilize GCP Secret Manager while giving you a single platform to view your secrets together.
Our latest enhancement to Keeper Connection Manager (KCM) allows authentication via Common Access Cards (CAC) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) – to support our DoD and our commitment to FedRAMP Authorization. A user’s identity can now be determined and verified using smart card authentication – without requiring the user to enter a username and password.
Keeper and Indent: Partnering for Better Time-Limited Sharing
Indent is an elegant third-party solution that enables enterprise users to easily request time-limited or permanent access to cloud applications and infrastructure. Access is granted through users requesting membership to Azure, Okta or Google groups that correspond to provisioned teams in Keeper.
The Keeper Vault is getting an updated look with modern styling for a friendlier, more intuitive user experience. Keeper’s new UI will include a clear contrast between elements and clearer navigation – improving usability and accessibility.
LastPass Import for SSO and Federated Accounts
It will be easier than ever for customers migrating to Keeper from LastPass who use SSO. Using the desktop app, automated LastPass imports will allow both Master Password and SSO logins.
Keeper’s new password rotation feature for passwords, keys and secrets enables businesses and agencies to effortlessly update end users’ privileged credentials in a centralized PAM platform.
A 24-word recovery phrase will serve as a secure break-glass method of recovering your Keeper Vault if you forget your Master Password. As long as you have your recovery phrase safely stored, you can always regain access to your Keeper Vault.
iOS Performance Update
Keeper’s next iOS version will include significant speed enhancements, support for large vaults (>10,000 records) and a complete UI refresh.
