We are kicking off 2023 with a number of new features, improvements and security updates to Keeper’s growing line of award-winning security solutions. Keeper prides ourselves in a culture of innovation to continually improve security and functionality for our customers – both businesses and consumers alike. The Keeper browser extension received a significant upgrade with noticeable performance improvements and we launched new remote connection protocols (PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server) for Keeper Connection Manager (KCM). Upgrade to 1,000,000 PBKDF2 Iterations
For users who log in with a Master Password, we’ve increased our PBKDF2 iterations to 1,000,000 rounds. This drastically increases the protection against brute force attack on vault data, in addition to the layers of encryption built into our zero-knowledge platform. Enterprise admins can easily enforce the new 1,000,000 setting in role policies and your users will be automatically upgraded.
KeeperFill Performance Improvements
Our latest version of KeeperFill for web browsers reduces latency and noticeably improves performance. Boasting over 100 bug fixes, along with syncing and performance upgrades, customers can expect a significantly improved experience with the browser extension. The beta version of the extension is currently available to our users ahead of its official launch next month.
TOTP Generator Now Live on iOS
Users on iOS now have the ability to directly import a two-factor verification setup code or secret key from a website or app into both new and existing Keeper records. This advancement to our two-factor authentication (2FA) integration speaks to our enthusiasm for using TOTP (time-based one-time passwords) to further bolster your password security.
Keeper Connection Manager Support for PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Keeper Connection Manager (KCM) now provides support for interacting directly with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL connection types. The setup is very similar to the existing support for the MySQL connection type, except for variation in SQL syntax, connection parameters and some cosmetic variation in the text prompts.
PingOne Catalog Integration
Provide seamless, secure SSO access to Keeper vaults by integrating with our partners at PingOne. In addition to continued support for legacy Ping Identity customers, Keeper administrators can now easily enable PingOne SSO and user provisioning through the PingOne Application Catalog.
Set a Master Password for New Users with Commander
Keeper Administrators now have the ability to set a temporary Master Password for new users. Once the credentials are created in Commander, they can be shared with the user via a one-time share link – encouraging quick adoption and secure, seamless onboarding to the Keeper platform.
Commander Secret Server Import
Keeper Commander can now import secrets from an on-premise Thycotic Secret Server. This import includes both secrets and file attachments, and preserves the folder/subfolder structure from the Secret Server. Custom template fields can also be captured and will be converted into Keeper record fields.
Commander Password Aging Report
The Password Aging Report has been improved to now include record details. Users with the Advanced Reporting & Alerts (ARAM) and Compliance modules can use Commander to show all records with a password that hasn’t been updated in a given period, for all users or a specific user. This report now includes record details, such as the record title.
