Keeper Security has once again proven its excellence by winning a group test of leading password managers conducted by Connect in Germany. The comprehensive evaluation, which included nine password managers, saw Keeper emerge as the clear “test winner” for its outstanding security, features and usability. This latest German accolade follows closely behind Keeper’s win in the CHIP Magazine’s Password Manager Test for a second consecutive year.
Connect is a German publication dedicated to reviewing technology products, and runs its own measurement laboratory, Testlab. In the latest issue, dated July 2024, Connect editors meticulously evaluated Keeper Password Manager alongside eight other password management solutions.
Connect tested nine products in total that were available as desktop or mobile applications. Password managers included in security suites were excluded, and following a recent successful hack, LastPass was also excluded as it was no longer seen as trustworthy by the publication.
Three criteria were crucial in Connect’s test: security, features and usability. Security includes secure login procedures, and all products were required to clear passwords from their clipboard. Additional features like data imports from other tools/browsers and breach monitoring were viewed as advantageous. Usability covered smooth automated logins and quick, reliable creation of new logins and passkeys. The interface’s overall impression and comprehensibility could also add or subtract up to five points from the overall score of 100 points.
1st Place: Keeper
On its first time entering the test, Keeper secured first place as the Outstanding “Test Winner” with a near-perfect score of 95 points out of 100.
Connect said: “Keeper excels in security, features and usability. The test winner combines comprehensive features with a stylish user interface and ease of use.”
Keeper has now won multiple awards for its password manager in the German market. In June 2024, it also won the prestigious title of “Test Winner” in a group test of leading password managers conducted by CHIP Magazine. This marked the second consecutive year that Keeper won the CHIP Test, having also come first in its 2023 review. Once again, Keeper claimed the top spot with an outstanding overall rating of “Sehr Gut” (Very Good) and an overall score of 1.1 (1.0 is a perfect score).
