Keeper Security has once again earned the coveted title of “Test Winner” in a recent comparison of top password managers conducted by CHIP Magazine, a leading consumer technology publication in Germany. This achievement marks Keeper’s third consecutive win, following its 2023 and 2024 triumphs.
In the April 2025 edition of CHIP, the magazine’s dedicated test center rigorously evaluated Keeper Password Manager alongside 10 other leading solutions. Keeper emerged on top, receiving an exceptional overall rating of “Sehr Gut” (Very Good) with a near-perfect score of 1.2 (with 1.0 being the best possible).

Inside the CHIP Password Manager Test
CHIP’s evaluation is based on three key categories: Security (50%), Usability (30%) and Features (20%).
Security
This makes up half of the overall score and focuses on each password manager’s encryption architecture, particularly zero-knowledge encryption. CHIP checks for weak master password protection, two-factor authentication and the effectiveness of stored password checks. Extra points go to password managers that offer biometric login, encrypted backups, emergency access and breach alerts.
Usability
Representing 30% of the score, this category evaluates how password managers perform across different platforms, including Windows, Android and iOS. CHIP tests everyday features like creating entries, autofilling passwords, copy-paste logins and changing existing passwords, as well as how quickly changes sync across devices.
Features
The final 20% of the assessment reviews advanced capabilities like synchronization via cloud services, WiFi or private servers. CHIP also evaluates search and sorting in large password databases, with a focus on fast, flexible password generators. Support for multiple devices and centralized management are also key advantages.
A clear-cut winner
In its 2025 review, CHIP declared Keeper the standout performer, praising its top-tier security framework, rich feature set and user-friendly design.
The reviewers remarked how Keeper sets the standards for the industry, saying: “Keeper is the best all-round package for pretty much all use cases.”
Keeper has now won multiple awards for its password manager in the German market. In July 2024, it also won a group test of leading password managers conducted by the German publication Connect.
Enterprise-grade protection
Beyond personal use, Keeper also serves the enterprise sector with its award-winning Enterprise Password Manager. Designed to meet the complex needs of modern organizations, Keeper has earned prestigious accolades including the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, the Globee® Awards for Cybersecurity and the Global Infosec Awards.
Keeper’s consistent top ratings on platforms like G2 further reinforce its status as a trusted business solution.
One of the key reasons enterprises choose Keeper is its tailored feature set, which includes privileged access management to securely control access to critical systems and resources. The platform also offers robust compliance reporting tools to help businesses meet regulatory requirements through comprehensive auditing and monitoring.
With a powerful combination of usability, advanced features and enterprise-grade protection, Keeper continues to set the standard in password management.
