At Keeper we believe everyone deserves to feel safe and protected online. That’s why we created Keeper.
Free versions of Keeper (mobile and desktop apps, browser extensions) provide users with only basic access to the Keeper Vault, but it does not include the option to–you guessed it–back up files to Keeper’s Cloud Security Vault. So, for all you Keepies who haven’t yet converted to Keeper Backup, why should you?
- You can back up your Keeper records. This is the big one. If you are using Keeper, a basic Backup subscription allows you to sync your vault’s data with the Cloud as well as provides full backup and protection for your passwords and files just in case your device is lost, damaged, stolen or replaced.
- You can sync across multiple devices. Available only with a Backup Unlimited subscription, syncing is crucial for those of us who use multiple devices (and who doesn’t at this point?). Every time you open your laptop or pull out your tablet, there everything is. Your passwords, usernames, and files. Which brings us to our next point….
- You can store files securely. Not only can you backup your login credentials to Keeper’s Cloud Security Vault, you can also upload images, videos and other documents to your Keeper Vault. Your driver’s license, passport, contracts and birth certificate are all stored away from prying eyes using our 256-bit AES encryption and world-class security.
- It’s cheaper than getting your identity stolen. A LOT cheaper. According to data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 16.6 million Americans were victims of identity theft in 2012, and averaged personal losses of $1,500 per victim. Compare that to $9.99 per year for a regular Backup subscription and $29.99 per year for a Backup Unlimited subscription…. Yeah. It’s totally worth it.
